Spiced Fig Meatballs
These spiced fig meatballs are a perfect appetizer for a quick and simple tasty snack.
Ingredients
3 eggs
1 whole white onion (chopped)
3/4 cup Panko bread crumbs
3/4 cup chopped parsley
1/2 cup grated parmesan cheese
3 large garlic cloves (minced)
1 tablespoon Italian seasoning
1 1/2 tsp salt
1 tsp pepper
1 1/2 pounds of beef
1lb ground pork

2/3 cup Spiced Fig Jam
2 tablespoons balsamic glaze
2 tablespoons of Worcestershire sauce

Directions
In a large bowl combine the eggs, onion, Panko, parsley, parmesan, garlic cloves, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper. Add in the beef and pork. Mix gently with hands until combined
Once combined use 2 tablespoons of meat to form the meatballs (this should make 48 meatballs). Place the meatballs on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper & baste each meatball with the spiced fig glaze.
To make the glaze combine the spiced fig jam, balsamic glaze & Worcestershire sauce. Mix well until glaze is formed.
Once each meatball has been completely glazed with the spiced fig glaze, bake at 400° for about 20-25 minutes or until the meatballs have an internal temperature of 165°.
Garnish with parsley & serve!
